Draft
TOWN OF LITTLETON
BOARD OF ASSESSORS MEETING
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4, 2010
2:00 PM
TOWN OFFICE CONFERENCE ROOM
Present: Chairman Eddy Moore, Vice Chairman Ed Boynton, Selectman Ron Bolt, Assessing Clerk Amy Hatfield, Executive Secretary Ceil Stubbings, Joe Wiggett.
Chairman Moore called the Board of Assessors to Order at 2:00 PM.
Amy Hatfield advised the Board of the below recommended abatement:
Russell Angel, 3 Towles Mobile Home Park, Littleton, NH 03584
Tax Map 91 Lot 16, Tax Year: 2005 through 2009, Amount $1,910.00.
Russell Angel has asked the Town of Littleton to forgive his outstanding property taxes for the years of 2005 through 2009. Mr. Angel is in the process of purchasing property in Groveton, NH. Mr. Angel has applied for a USDA Rural Development loan. Under USDA the property owner cannot own property elsewhere and cannot have outstanding liens. This abatement is classified as hardship abatement.
After some discussion regarding this abatement request Ed Boynton made the motion to grant the abatement to Russell Angel at Towles Mobile Park in the amount of $1,910.00. Eddy Moore said they should add to the motion “subject to the approval of the USDA Rural Development loan.” Joe Wiggett said that as soon as we know the loan went through the abatement would be processed. Ron Bolt seconded the motion. Ed Boynton made the motion to adjourn. Ron Bolt seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0. The meeting adjourned at 2:14 PM.
Respectfully submitted
