TOWN OF LITTLETON
PLANNING BOARD
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN
SUB-COMMITTEE FORMATION
The Littleton Planning Board is forming a sub-committee for the purpose of developing a town-wide Capital Improvement Plan. A Capital Improvement Plan is a mid-to-long range document that examines major projects on the horizon (out at least 5 years). The plan classifies major projects according to urgency and estimated cost, and recommends a time sequence for implementation. The sole purpose and effect of the plan shall be to aid the Select Board, Town Manager, and Budget Committee in their preparation of the annual budget.
There will be five members including representatives from the Planning Board, Budget Committee, and Select Board. The other two members will come from the general population. The commitment will be for approximately one year and this will be a roll-up-your-sleeves working committee.
We are soliciting self-nominations at this time for the two general population members. While there are no specific prerequisites, prior budget planning or analysis experience would be most helpful. Also, document preparation expertise would be a great asset to the committee.
Please indicate your interest in one of these positions by contacting Joanna Ray at 603-444-3996 Ext. 27 by June 30, 2009.
Charlie Ryan, Chair, Littleton Planning Board
